The most difficult mountain I have ever climbed 🇧🇴
I thoroughly enjoyed this trip. We had the place all to ourselves, and it was incredibly beautiful. Being surrounded by gigantic mountains and glaciers cascading down their slopes makes you feel very small. And every now and then, a rockfall creates a thunderous roar that sends a chill down your spine.
Illampu is located at the northern end of the Cordillera Real mountain range. At 6,368 meters above sea level, it is the fourth highest mountain in all of Bolivia.
