I live in the village of Couiza, in the department of Aude, in southern France. In August 2016 we had a series of "apero" evenings in the muncipal park with music. One of them was of popular French music; suddenly this ceased and someone not on the programme appeared and played his heart out, Robert Johnson style. (I grabbed my camera and turned it on!) Robert Johnson lived in the USA "south" and was known as "The King of the Delta Blues." Uncl'stf, who is playing in the film, told me the French didn't really understand the blues; but he himself played nothing else, it was his life. He gave me a poster which is now on my wall.
