New Ford Bronco Raptor: Out On The Trail For Some Hardcore Off-Roading!
Ford built a new Raptor package for the Bronco SUV to purposefully dethrone Jeep's Wrangler Rubicon as America's favorite off-roader. With 418 horsepower and 440 lb-ft of torque, plus all the upgraded suspension and drivelines components that made the F-150 Raptor such a beast, the so-called "Braptor" deserves a day in the dirt. Probably the only problem is that Ford engineered such an incredible 4x4 that it almost takes the fun out of hitting the trail!
Watch HotCars host Michael Van Runkle take the Bronco Raptor out to Rowher Flats in Southern California and pick all the hardest lines he can find climbing up a steep, rutted hill. But disaster strikes going back down at top speed on a fire trail, when the 37-inch all-terrain tires take a serious beating and one gives out. But that's four-wheeling for you, especially in a truck that handles like a RZR but weighs only 9 pounds less than the full-sized F-150!
