I show two pieces of evidence from my own tests - a machine with a top Core i9, which produced 20 frames per second, and a pair of MSI Crosshair vs. MSI Katana, where the cheaper laptop had a more powerful processor, and it was more pleasant to play on the more expensive one. Next, we analyze the TGP parameter, due to which two identical video cards differ by a third in speed, and the video memory reserve, which determines how many years the machine will last in good shape. Plus, just about DLSS 4.5, ray tracing and NVIDIA Reflex - why they are needed and when to turn them off.
In the end, specifics for different tasks: RTX 5060 for studying and evening games, RTX 5070 for editing and graphics, RTX 5080 - if you want to buy once and not remember about stores for five years. Video will come in handy if you choose a laptop for gaming, editing or local neural networks and don't want to overpay for the mere name of the video card. If your life is spent in the browser and documents - you don't need it here, get something with a nice screen and sleep peacefully.
