Netflix Berserk Series | Will It Ever Happen? | Where Should It Start?
berserk series. What's going on guys? RBG here bringing you an update/discussion on the current state or should I say probable Netflix Berserk series. Its been a good minute since I've made a video on this and I wanted to make it a lot sooner. But due to certain circumstances, the main 1 being Kentaro Miura's recent passing I've made sure to let things cool down a bit. I know Berserk videos usually amass a large amount clicks but I wanted to avoid capitalizing on Miura's death as much as possible to show my respect. RIP to the King of Dark Fantasy. But man it seems like this franchise has been in this weird purgatory. As you all know the series, particularly the anime hasn't had the best track record when it comes to adaptations. I mean we know its 1 of if not the best manga of all time with its stellar story telling and overall world building. If you've had the pleasure of reading the chapters which I highly recommend you do, then you know that each panel of art had deep layers of expression. Like I can't think of another artist who's been able to consistently capture the atmosphere of a certain moment like Miura has. Its because of that visual story telling that we've had great anime like the 90's Berserk anime. The studio did an excellent job translating some of the highlighting moments to 2D. And occasionally they would go outta their way to take some of those iconic images from the manga and seamlessly blend them in with the action.
