In this 400+ hour retail-unit review, I test the Kobra X, ACE Gen 2 system, Anycubic Slicer Next, LAN mode, purge waste, color bleed, print quality, reliability, and real-world multicolor performance. This $299 four-color 3D printer promises faster filament swaps, less waste, and a compact design without a separate AMS-style box. But aggressive flushing volumes, mechanical complexity, and possible quality-control issues reveal some serious trade-offs. Is the Kobra X almost too good to be true? Let’s find out.
