The full Waypoint 2025 event from OpenSpace—covering AI Autolocation, OpenSpace Field, the new Smart BIM Viewer, and Spatial AI Agents.

Waypoint 2025 is OpenSpace's annual customer summit, and this year marks the company's biggest evolution since its founding: the shift from reality capture to a Visual Intelligence Platform that turns field imagery into real-time insights, integrated workflows, and a system of work for builders.

The headline launch is AI Autolocation, a Spatial AI breakthrough that delivers real-time indoor positioning to any smartphone on the OpenSpace platform—with no extra hardware required. Captures with a 360 camera create a spatial fingerprint of each building that lets workers walk inside and instantly know where they are, the same way GPS works outdoors. AI Autolocation powers OpenSpace Field, which combines indoor positioning with AI VoiceNotes (speak an issue and the form auto-fills), an AI Search media library tuned for construction terminology, and two-way sync integrations with Procore and Autodesk.

CTO Michael Fleischman then takes the stage for a deep technical session, introducing Spatial AI Agents—a new class of AI agent that maintains spatial awareness as it operates. Demos include live positioning that follows a user's location, BIM models that auto-navigate to where a worker is standing, cloud agents that surface relevant issues based on physical proximity, and ""X-ray vision"" that lets the field see behind walls using past captures.

The event also covers OpenSpace Air's new measurements, exports, and georeferencing features (presented by Jess Lam, Director of Product), the new Smart BIM Viewer built for mobile (Molly Taylor, Senior PM), and beta data from Suffolk showing field notes captured 86% faster—three minutes down to 25 seconds—with 95%+ properly assigned to trade, zone, and due date. Scale milestones for 2025 include 350,000 users, 52 billion square feet captured, more than $1 trillion in projects managed, FedRAMP authorization, and a 41% reduction in insurance claims through the Shepherd partnership.
