Arduino Made Easy(er) - The Basics Of Servos - Lesson 10
Welcome to Lesson 10 of Arduino Made Easy(er). Today we are going to cover the basics of servos. How to test them with an Arduino Uno and how to use them on our Model Railroad.
The servo motor is a high torque slow speed motor that normally only rotates about 180 degrees, although some will rotate 360 degrees. The ones we will talk about today is the 9 gram SG90 which is the most popular for modelers because of it's low cost and small size. I show a few different servos only for comparison which will not be covered in this video.
These servos can be purchased easily as parts of a starter kit or individually. On some occasions they can be purchased in multiples of 5 or 10 to a package which makes them a very low cost item for any project.
