The safe arrived in a plain Genie Hand branded box, it was very well packed and protected at each corner to avoid any transit damage, on the top it had the instructions, a set of emergency keys, four AA batteries needed for the time lock operation and two bolts for mounting, the safe has mounting holes in both the back and bottom allowing either method of fixing.
First impressions, the safe is lighter than I had expected it to be, I gave it a good look over and the external and internal finishing is very good and it does look and feel very sturdy. I had a read through the instructions which I found to be somewhat sparse and would have expected greater detail with the inclusion of more detailed and descriptive diagrams with perhaps some test scenarios of the settings including multiple days and times.
After fitting the batteries I followed the instructions to set the clock and reset the code lock and apply another, I then set the opening time lock for multiple days and time periods, the lock release worked perfectly not allowing code access during the no access times and could only be opened with the emergency keys.
I thought the opening dial on the front of the safe felt very loose and flimsy with too much play in it and would have liked to have seen a good solid metal dial with a positive clean action for opening and closing.
Overall it does a good job with the time lock working perfectly only allowing access at the given times with the maximum of eight programmable on/off events in a day, setting these takes quite a long time and I felt the setting mechanism is not the easiest to navigate and without more detailed instructions provided it certainly took me a lot longer to work out than it should have, I really wasn’t keen on the opening handle/dial as it just felt loose and flimsy.

You only have to decide, before locking the safe, when you want to be able to open it again. Once you have locked it, you will not be able to open it until the time frame you have previously set has come. You can lock away drugs, cigarettes, money, keys, video games and so on.
This safe has a weekly programmable timer installed inside, which allows the user to set time intervals that control when the safe opens. The timer has 8 programmable on/off events per day, and 15 combinations of daily programs, that allow to choose when you can open the safe. For example: only from Friday evening to Sunday evening, every day after 8pm, before 7pm, or again from 4pm to 6pm, etc.The timer shortest locking time is 1 minute, the longest 1 week.
The safe come with a set of emergency keys to bypass the time lock mechanism. ANTI BOUNCING SYSTEM.
