We are #TheOmniMovement, an endeavor to make improvised partner dancing, more commonly known as social dancing, more accessible across the globe. An #OmniTalk is an attempt for members of the Omni family to present different ideas about social dancing in the form of a talk show.
As an huge advocate of social dancing, I hear lots of reasons for why people don’t try social dancing. These are 5 of the most common and my reasons for why I believe they aren’t true. If you are looking for an outlet in your life where you can be vulnerable and connect in an intimate but platonic way while also staying fit and exploring your creativity, social dancing can be it. So why not give it a try?
1- I can’t dance.
2- I don’t have time.
3- I’m broke.
4- It looks too hard.
5- I just don’t like dancing.
