European Aniridia Conference 2022 - Bremond-Gignac: foveal ipoplasia, key factor for PAX6 learning
During the sixth European Aniridia Conferencece in Alicante, Spain, Dr. Dominique Bremond-Gignac, Professor of Ophthalmology and Head of Ophthalmology Department with pediatric subspecialty and ocular surface at University Hospital Necker-Enfants malades and Paris University in Paris, talk about her research study on foveal ipoplasia in patients with Aniridia and why it is important to better understand what could be the impacts brought by this kind of eye issue when it is related to the rare desease of Aniridia in order to better understand also the PAX 6 mutation with the aim to prevent, for example limbal stem cells deficiency, early glaucoma or cataract consequencies.
