Welcome back to Guide with Samuel!
In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to create a Table of Contents (TOC) in Google Docs on your Windows PC. A TOC makes it easier to navigate long documents and gives your files a professional look.
Follow these simple steps:
Open your Google Docs document on your Windows PC.
Make sure your headings are formatted using Heading 1, Heading 2, or Heading 3.
Place your cursor where you want the Table of Contents.
Click on Insert in the top menu.
Select Table of contents, then choose a style (with links or with plain text).
Your Table of Contents will appear, showing your headings and page numbers.
Update the TOC anytime by clicking the refresh icon next to it.
✅ That’s it! You’ve successfully created a Table of Contents in Google Docs on your Windows PC.
