How to Backwash A Hayward Sand Filter
Our "How To" series. How to backwash a Hayward sand filter.
1. Turn the pump off
2. Rotate Handle clockwise to the "Backwash" position.
3. Turn pump on and run between 3 and 10 min, or until the sight glass / waste line clears up.
4. Turn pump off.
5. Rotate handle clockwise to the rinse position.
6. Turn pump on
You can use this video on any brand with a multi-port.
