Starting in early March 2024, the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate (GIBE), the Department of Road Safety (DEDE), and the Ministry of Transport will introduce a new system of fines for exceeding the average speed limit. However, this does not guarantee road safety.
Instead, we will be forced to drive slower and pay fines more frequently. Furthermore, cameras will now fine not only those driving fast on highways but also those traveling slower than forty kilometers per hour.
