In a nutshell, Detailed engineering and design involve all the calculations and drafting to provide exact drawings in detail for the estimation, procurement, production, fabrication, construction.
Normally, an EPCM contractor company is Engaged to perform Detailed Engineering and Design.
Detailed engineering and design involve all the studies, calculations, and design before the project construction starts. It is based on the information received from basic conceptual design or FEED. It also provides the more accurate cost and schedule to complete the
project before it is ready for commissioning.
