Editing Audio in Pro Tools: Keyboard Shortcuts and the Smart Tool
This video demonstrates the keyboard shortcuts that every engineer editing audio in Pro Tools should know, as well as how the Smart Tool actually works.
The captions aren't quite perfect, so here's the list:
A: trim from left to cursor
S: trim from right to cursor
D: fade in to cursor
G: fade out from cursor
F: crossfade
Command F: bring up more detailed fade options
P: move selection up
; - move selection down
L: move selection left to next clip edge
' - move selection right to next clip edge
Hold control while dragging up and down to lock clip in time.
