When I got a 1:16 average last time I competed in mega, I genuinely believed I would need to grind the event for a while before I would be able to beat it (my best global I've hit is like 1:18 and that was when I was actually practicing). I've done like 20 mega solves in the last couple months and somehow crushed that average lol
