Embedding a Nut into your 3D Print
Not that easy, but it is possible to embed a nut into your 3D print.
Easier said than done. Follow the instructions in the video!
I use Cura to determine at what print layer to pause the print, and drive the print head out of the way in order to position the print that it is easy for you to insert the nut.
With a text editor i find the layer and insert a pause and head move into the Gcode. All that is easy. Quick math calculation to at what percentage this is going to happen, and off you go.
Done easy, as you can see in this video.
I was using the MP Select mini with Cura on a Mac, but this method is going to work on most 3D printers on the market.
Just try it, it is a lot of fun!
