"Being one of the front lines of climate change, South Florida faces a variety of threats to not only its natural beauty but also the livelihoods of its inhabitants. This film highlights the importance of one particular ecosystem in South Florida, the mangrove forest. Unlike the iconic coral reefs and Everglades, mangrove forests are often overlooked despite their vital role in Florida. Serving as not only a hub of biodiversity but also an important defense to the symptoms of climate change, these forests deserve recognition for the help they will provide to the future of South Florida."
