Minecraft but I’m vegan ground rules: btw- I'm not vegan irl, but I thought this would be a fun idea for a video
DISCLAIMER: In this Challenge video, I am trying to be ‘as vegan as possible’- unfortunately, certain animal products eg. wool, bows and arrows, ender pearls and blaze rods are kind of needed for me to beat the game, so the challenge is largely limited to me ingesting vegan food and not crafting with animal products to the best of my ability etc. etc. also hostile mobs will be slaughtered in the name of self-defense but I am not allowed to consume any of their entrails
Do:
Kill hostile mobs (self-defence, but do not consume any edible drop items or craft with them, wool and blaze rods are the only exception)
Play as normally as possible
Consume potion of healing and night vision (these are the only potions I know of that are brewed without using animal products)
Do not:
Consume any meat
Kill any passive mobs (eg. Shearing sheep is ok but only resort to doing this if there are no other options)
Fish
Consume any other edible animal products (no spider eyes, rotting flesh, milk, honey)
Use or craft with any mob drops unless it’s armour, blaze rods, enderpearls (from endermen) or arrows
Extra things:
Shearing sheep is ok, but don’t do it too often
Same applies to using blaze rods for the ok potions listed above
You are allowed to use dropped or traded bows, crossbows and arrows from other mobs eg. Skeletons, pillagers, piglins, villagers etc.
The same applies to leather if attacked by a llama (self-defense)
Any animal products eg. Leather armour, books etc. are ok to use if looted or traded
Bonemeal extracted from a composter is ok to use
Only traded enderpearls from cleric villagers are permissible to us
