Google calendar has an amazing feature that can save you a lot of time in back and forth
Allow guests to modify events
In your chrome browser type cal.new
This will open up google calendar new event
Note modify events option
Check it On and now guests can modify event
But how to ensure that each calendar event has this option on?
Go to calendar.google.com or type cal.new in your chrome URL bar
Hover over your name in my calendars section, Note 3 dots, click on it
Click on settings and sharing
Click on General in the calendar settings panel
Click on Event settings, note that you are inside general, inside calendar settings
Ensure that default guest permission is set to modify events
Now if you do cal.new new event will have Modify events set to on
