When writing, it’s important to understand your characters inside-and-out. Don’t be afraid to take time to figure out who each of your characters are, and I’m not just talking about their age, career, and hobbies. I’m talking their personality, strengths, weaknesses, and deep psychological tendencies. It’s important to do this, for many reasons, one of which being so you have a diverse set of characters with varying personalities.
