How to Hide and Unhide Fields in the Tableau Data Pane
Subscribe: http://bit.ly/3i3WN4p How to hide an unhide fields in the data pane let's say category is not needed for this analysis it's a best practice to hide fields that you don't need so your workbooks will run faster the click on category and then select hide category is Now hidden you can tell it's hidden because it's grayed out I can no longer drag category into the view in order to unhide category I'm going to click the drop down on category and select unhide now category is able to be used again a couple other options that you have is show hidden fields and hide all unused fields let's click hide all and use Fields first and you'll see that everything I haven't used in the view is now grayed out be careful with that option because there is no way to uncheck that option you will now need to go through each field and unhide it to bring it back to be available
I can also click the drop down and unchecked show hidden fields to completely remove the fields that are there you can add them back by checking the option again and that's how you should hide and unhide fields in the data pane hope this helps [Music]
