About ten years ago, my brother gave me a book - Douglas Harding’s On Having No Head. At the time, I didn’t get it. The practice seemed strange, too simple, too obvious. But when I came back to it years later, something clicked.
The Headless Way is a direct, first-person experience of awakening. It points us to the simple fact that awareness has no centre, no boundary, and no head. What we truly are is not inside the body looking out, but the open space in which everything appears.
In this video, I explore Harding’s realisation, what it reveals about consciousness and non-duality, and how this practice can be one of the most immediate ways to see your true nature.
✨ What you’ll discover:
What Douglas Harding meant by “having no head”
How the Headless Way points directly to non-dual awareness
Why simplicity is often the most profound teacher
How this practice complements mindfulness and compassion
