Mariette har sitt ursprung i Halmstad. Efter att ha bott i Stockholm i tio år har hon flyttat tillbaka till västkusten och bor sedan 2020 med sin familj i Höganäs.
Efter att ha synts i Sikta mot stjärnorna och turnerat med coverband ställde Mariette upp i Idol 2009 och slutade på fjärde plats. Mariette debuterade i Melodifestivalen 2015 med låten ”Don't Stop Believing”. Sedan dess har hon medverkat ytterligare tre gånger (2017, 2018 och 2020). Bidraget "One Day" blir hennes femte i tävlingen.
I Melodifestivalen 2020 gick Mariette direkt till final från sin deltävling för fjärde gången i rad, vilket hon var den första att uppnå (bedriften har sedan dess gjorts av fler). Mariette ligger inför 2023 på delad fjärde plats på listan över flest finalplatser i Melodifestivalen.
