Ubuntu Server To Desktop With RDP Installation
Hi,
In this guide we will be updating from ubuntu server 1610 minimum to ubuntu server with a desktop.
After the installation of the desktop i will go through the steps i use to get RDP working on the box.
I will be using a clean install of ubuntu server 1610 minimum which was made in the last video.
1.Load Putty, and connect to your server
2.Use the following command to get a desktop installed on your server,
first make sure to update and upgrade your box
apt-get update
apt-get upgrade
then to install desktop use command below
"apt-get install ubuntu-desktop"
be aware this could take a little time, due to the size and installation process.

You are now done, Lets restart box before trying RDP
reboot now
Close Putty,
Load Remote Desktop,
Start Run, mstsc
As you can see, The Box as been rebooted, and we have logged into the Box VIA RDP :)
