1.Select Project
Select Project in which you want to create a windows server 2012 virtual machine. To play this tour at console.developers.google.com website, install guideme player from guideme.io and click on player icon at right side of console.developers.google.com web page.
2.Products and Services
Click on products and services icon.
3.Compute Engine
Click on Compute Engine. Google Compute Engine lets you create and run virtual machines on Google infrastructure.
4.Create Instance
Click Create instance tab to see the available options for your new instance.
5.Enter Instance Name
Set the name of your instance.
6.Select Zone
The zone determines what computing resources are available and where your data is stored and used. Select zone from drop down menu.
7.Select Machine Type
The machine type determines the CPU and memory your instance will have. From drop down menu select machine cores & memory as per your requirement.
8.Boot Disk
Each instance requires a disk or image to boot from. Click on change button for selecting an image .
9.Select Image
Scroll down & select Windows Server 2012 R2 Datacenter Edition.
10.Boot Disk Type and Disk Size
Select disk type from Standard persistent disk or SSD. Also Enter disk size in GB as per your requirement.
11.Select Button
Click on select button to confirm.
12.Allow Firewall Rule
By default all incoming traffic from outside a network is blocked. Select the type of network traffic you want to allow. Select allow http & https traffic.
13.Create Button
Click on create button to confirm.
14.Select Instance
Click on created instance
15.Create & Reset Windows Password
Click on 'create & reset windows password' tab, so that we can access this machine through Remote Desktop (RDP) using required credentials created .
16.Enter User Name
Specify a username. Must start with a lowercase letter, followed by 1-31 lowercase letters, numbers, or underscores.
17.Click Set Button
Click on set button to set password.
18.New Windows Password
New windows password screen appear. Note down provided password for future use.
