Azure AD Conditional Access – The Gateway to Zero Trust | Sussex Azure User Group
Zero-Trust is a buzzword for securing access to enterprise resources. The core of Zero-Trust is the ability to continuously evaluate who, when and how those resources can be accessed. The who, could be a user or a workload identity. The when, when the access request is coming from a particular location, device, or operating system. The how, defines requirements for access such as MFA, device compliance and control of the session accessing the resource.
Implementing this control requires a policy enforcement gateway which comprehensively evaluates the access requirements and implements the appropriate controls. In Azure AD, a component of Microsoft Entra, Conditional Access allows the creation and enforcement of policies.
