Wildfires force evacuations, shut highway between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv
Wildfires driven by extreme heat and winds have erupted between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, forcing evacuations and closing a key highway.
Israel has appealed for firefighting aircraft from Greece, Italy, Croatia and Greek Administration of Southern Cyprus to help contain the blaze.
