Animate a Photo - Manipulation - Using 3D Parallax Animation | Photoshop & After Effects
So here it is, I originally posted the transition video on my Instagram and reddit, and since then I've been getting so many questions about how it was done.

I made it clear to everyone that I'm not really ready to invest time into doing any tutorials but I did promise to create something that gives a better idea about the steps taken to achieve this visual. You probably need basic PS and AE knowledge to find this video useful.
We will be using Adobe Photoshop to split my photo into separate layers and animate their scale. Then we will be taking the split up photo into Adobe After Effects and using a 3D camera and the puppet tool to animate it even further.
And here you have it, it's obviously more of a walk-through/speed art/step, I hope you like it :)
