Welcome to the next installment of the Mini Library App series! 🚀 In this video, we'll make the Admin Dashboard much more engaging and visually informative.
We'll upgrade the Dashboard, which previously contained only plain text and numbers, to an interactive report using the very popular chart: Chart.js.
🔍 What Will You Learn in This Video?
Chart.js Integration: The easiest way to install and invoke this powerful JS library into your PHP project.
Statistical Query Logic: Writing PHP and MySQL scripts to calculate data to be visualized, for example:
Number of books borrowed per month.
Or a comparison of books borrowed vs. books available.
Sending PHP Data to Chart.js: Learn how to bridging data from the backend (PHP/MySQL) so that it can be read by the frontend (JavaScript) script in Chart.js, using json_encode().
Chart Customization:
Choose the right chart type (Bar Chart or Line Chart).
Adjust the colors to match our app's "Premium Green" theme.
Create interactive tooltips that appear when the chart is hovered over.
With this feature, your app will look much more professional, like a production-ready app. Watch until the end, and don't forget to like, comment if you've successfully created the chart, and subscribe for more great tutorials! 🔔
