The dreaded ORA-00257
Nothing tarnishes the reputation of a DBA more than the database being stuck in the mud because the archive destination has filled up. The quick fix is just to jump onto the server, compress or move some logs and get people running again. But is that the best way? You might be creating biugger problems than the one you are trying to solve...
