Mafia II : Joe's Adventures - Connection
This is where the story kicks back into high gear. Moving away from the arcade-style side contracts, Connection serves as the first major narrative mission since Joe's return to Empire Bay. Working alongside Tony Balls, Joe takes on a high-stakes dockyard heist to steal a massive shipment of smuggled weapons. It's a long, brutal firefight that ultimately earns Joe a face-to-face introduction to Falcone Capo, Eddie Scarpa.
📜 The Story: Joe is back in Empire Bay, but he’s still got a hit on his head from Luca Gurino. To buy his freedom, he teams up with Tony Balls for a massive dockyard heist. Stealing this illegal weapon shipment is Joe's golden ticket to an introduction with Eddie Scarpa.
⚔️ Mission Walkthrough
1. Clearing the Docks
Forget Stealth: Tony says to keep it quiet, but a massive gunfight is scripted. Take out the first guard and push forward.
Look Up: Watch out for two snipers—one on the right-hand crane tower, and another on the second-story catwalk to your left.
The Car Ambush: Two gangster-filled Lassiters will roll up. Blow their gas tanks or toss a grenade to delete them instantly. Grab the Swift Cola on the nearby crate if you need health.
2. Infiltrating the Warehouse
Breach & Cover: Open the main door and immediately take cover.
Clear the Catwalks: Enemies will spawn above you as you advance. Move room-by-room and look up.
Prep the Train: Once the room is clear, kick the yellow blocks away from the train's front-left wheel.
🚨 Collectible Alert (Playboy #7): Don't forget to grab the magazine off the warehouse floor before heading up to open the exit doors!
Resupply: Head up to the middle catwalk. Grab the grenades and ammo scattered near the switch before pulling it.
3. The Final Stand & Escape
Hold the Line: The moment you pull the switch to open the main doors, a final wave of gangsters will storm in. Drop down immediately, find solid cover, and wipe them out.
The Payoff: Clearing the room triggers the final cutscene. Joe and Tony escape on the train, unlocking the Dockyard Discord achievement and heading off to celebrate at the Garden of Eden.
