Update GT Aggressor Pro | Nishiki Colorado Comp - My experience with DSG bikes
Bikes from Dick's Sporting Goods like the GT Aggressor Pro and the Nishiki Colorado Comp 27.5+ are mountain bikes that have the potential to be better than the traditional Big Box Bike. They do cost more than other bikes purchased from stores like Walmart or Target, but they also feature better components.
My experience with DSG bikes has been mixed. I'm pleased with the specs of the bikes, but have had issues with both. Braking and chain drops on the GT, and poor derailleur setup on the Nishiki Colorado. It wasn't until I took matters into my own hands/got the local bike shop involved that the bikes were properly setup. Though the Aggressor Pro will likely still need attention as I suspect the Acera derailleur is defective. Once setup properly the Nishiki Colorado is a gem. I'm really liking this bike for the price I paid.
What do you think? Are the bikes worth it, or are they just another cheap big box bike? Be sure to leave your comment.
