In this video, I'm replacing the spark plugs on a Vario carburetor. Previously, I used Denso U22FER9 or NGK CR7HE-9 spark plugs. I'm replacing them with iridium spark plugs from NGK CPR8EAIX-9. Are they functioning properly?
I replaced the NGK CPR8EAIX-9 spark plugs for several reasons:
The old spark plugs hadn't been replaced in a very long time, around 8-9 years. Consequently, their performance wasn't as good as new.
Secondly, I wanted to restore the motorcycle's performance to a similar state to when it was new, although not optimal.
Thirdly, I used iridium spark plugs because the price difference from NGK CR7HE-9 spark plugs is quite small, with CR7HE-9 spark plugs selling for around Rp. 70,000-80,000. Meanwhile, NGK Iridium spark plugs with the code CPR8EAIX-9 are sold for around Rp. 100,000-110,000. So, I decided to buy iridium spark plugs.
I'm not including a purchase link because market prices can fluctuate and stock isn't always available. I definitely bought them from online stores like Shopee/Tokopedia. The choice of store also affects the price when you're looking to buy. I hope this video tutorial is helpful.
