China's economy is undeniably struggling, with even staunch supporters acknowledging the difficulties. The situation began to deteriorate around 2020, marked by a halt in rising housing prices. The COVID-19 pandemic initially masked some economic problems, as China’s strict measures allowed continued industrial activity and export growth. However, as other countries resumed normal operations, China’s zero-COVID advantages waned.

The CCP has relied on subsidies and low-price dumping to sustain growth, notably in the electric vehicle and solar sectors. However, this has led to overcapacity and significant losses. International sanctions and tariffs from various countries, including Chile, are intensifying the pressure.
