How to change margins using the ruler in Google Docs
Adjusting margins can be much more visual and quick if you use the top ruler and the left ruler.
If you don’t see the ruler, go to the “View” menu and click on “Show ruler”.
Then follow these steps:
📏 Click and drag the small blue triangle at the top left of the ruler to change the left margin.
📏 Do the same on the right end of the ruler to adjust the right margin.
💡 Tip: If you only want to change the margins for a specific paragraph and not for the whole document, select the text first.
This option is ideal when you just need to fine-tune the margins or when you’re designing a cover page or an official report layout.
