Patch-a-day Synthmaking: July 7 - speed version! (Arturia Microfreak)
This is the fourth video in a new series I'm starting called "patch-a-day synthmaking", where I'll be using one hardware or software synth every day for a month to make a new patch from scratch. At the end of the month, I'll be making these patches available for download for anybody who is interested.
To make things fun, I'll be randomly selecting the oscillator type I'll be using by rolling a 20-sided die. I have no idea what I'll be making at the start of the video, and I'll talk through my thought process as I go. This will be less structured than my tutorial videos, but I hope it will be fun and somewhat educational regardless!
I'm starting with the Arturia Microfreak, as it's one of my absolute favorite synths to create new sounds with. In today's video, I end up making a lead sound using the "Superwave" oscillator type. I have a super busy schedule today, so I decided to race against the clock and make a sound in under 10 minutes!
