This year in 2023 the program will cover Cyber Security, Cloud Security and Networking as key skill levels. Also, this year, Cisco is opening VIP opportunities to our diploma students as well, the rest of the process remains the same as in previous editions.
The VIP is a revolutionary attempt to virtualize the traditional internship model and allow scalability during this challenging climate. In the current model:
Students will gain technical knowledge and skills by completing Cisco Networking Academy courses in an identified track.
Students will learn to use the powerful network simulation tool – Packet Tracer.
Students will participate in an industry session hosted by Cisco experts and leaders which will cover topics from enabling global skills to careers in cybersecurity and networking.
Accredited Networking Academy instructors will train faculty members from participating institutions to act as local mentors.
With able guidance of the local mentor at the institution, shortlisted students will work on a project to solve an identified problem statement.
Cisco Internship Process: Steps and Eligibility

After registration, apply for the Cisco Internship through your AICTE Internship login.
Fill the form for program access and training delivery. The NIIT Foundation team will guide and help you to complete the netacad programs required for internship. (Link - shorturl.at/bghmK)
Attend the industry session hosted by Cisco for all enrolled students.
Solve and submit the problem statement shared by the Cisco team to your faculty.
After evaluation, eligible students will receive the Cisco Virtual Internship Certificate.
Eligibility:
Only Cisco Networking Academy students currently enrolled in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year technical degree programs (such as B-Tech, BCA, BSc (IT/CS), MCA, MSc (IT/CS)) can participate.
1st and 2nd-year students enrolled in any technical diploma courses are also eligible.
