In this video, I am going to show you how to create an amazing shape animation effect in After Effects. This effect is perfect for intro and outro videos, or any sort of animation where you want to create a smooth transition between shots.
After Effects is a powerful digital motion graphics and visual effects software that is widely used in the film and video industry. Whether you are an experienced video editor or just starting out, After Effects is a great tool to add some extra magic to your projects. In this video, we will cover the basics of shape layers, masks, and keyframes in After Effects, and use these tools to create a simple and stylish shape transition animation.
Before we dive into the animation, let’s set up the project. Start by creating a new composition in After Effects, with the dimensions you prefer. The aspect ratio of the composition will depend on the aspect ratio of the final video you want to create. Next, we will create a solid layer, which will serve as the background for our animation. To do this, go to the ‘Layer’ menu, select ‘New’, and then ‘Solid’. Choose a color for your solid layer, and make sure the solid layer covers the entire composition.
