Common working FIXES:

-Disable Steam overlay/streaming, FRAPS, Mumble, ShadowPlay, or any FPS counter/HW info overlay.
-Updating all drivers
-Disable VSYNC in Borderless window with tesselation OFF.
(Go to My documents-Rockstar-GTAV and modify settings file.)
-Change DX11 to DX10.1 in settings file
-Disable your main graphic car and re-enable it when game started
-Underclock your card with MSI Afterburner
-Delete new Nvidia or Radeon driver and install previous driver

Switch off shadow play. Problem solved.

Yeah...it was that simple, must have seen the FPS ticker on the top right side of my monitor :P Note to self: If i still want to use Shadowplay, underclock cards beforehand.

EDIT: I have stumbled onto a temp fix for nVidia users:

Download NVIDIA Inspector from http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/n....

Extract the rar anywhere, and run nvidiaInspector.

Click on "Show Overclocking" in the bottom right.

With the new Overclocking options, we're going to click on "-20" under both Base Clock Offset and Memory Clock Offset.

Once both offsets are showing "-20 MHz" you will click "Apply Clocks & Voltage" and you'll now be downclocked.

You can do this before you start the game or even while it's open. The settings that you apply will remain that way until you hit Apply Defaults.

I've been able to play with no dumps or BSODs for a good hour. Hopefully it will be patched soon so I can use my GPU's full clock speed.

Same solution for AMD users:

I'VE FOUND A FIX
Using MSI Afterburner you need to underclock your card, since I underclocked from 1100mhz to 947mhz the game seems to be running fine without crashing. I am using an R9 295X2 and it seems to have worked for me. Rockstar need to make a fix for this so people with powerful cards can run them at their potential. Also my resolution is 3440x1440, when I turned the resolution to 1920x1080 it lasted a bit longer, but when I underclocked I was able to return to my normal settings with the exception of a few less fps.
Hope this helps!
