Deploy Spring Boot Application WAR in Tomcat Server ( Mac / Windows / Linux )
Learn to deploy spring boot application war file in tomcat server in this step-by-step tutorial.
I have already covered the download/install external tomcat in the last video. Also, though I have used the Mac system in this video, but the process remains same for all type of systems (ie: Windows, Linux).
🔑 Steps to deploy application on external server:
Step 1: Define packaging type as war in pom.xml file.
Step 2: Include spring-boot-starter-tomcat dependency with provided scope.
Step 3: Main Application class should extend SpringBootServletInitializer and override configure method.
