Greetings all,
Technical proficiency continues to elude me as once again I have failed to hit the pause button resulting in a two part video instead of the seamless presentation I had envisioned. Heavy sigh.
That doesn't take away the coolness factor that this particular old Red Ryder has due to the presence of the magical Model 300 "telescope" sight and it's Whiz Wheel elevation adjustment system. These sights were available for the #111 Model 40 as well as the Model 25 pump gun back in the day and were the absolute pinnacle for BB guns in the early 40's.
For a "scope" with no optical elements the Model 300 works amazingly well. The whiz wheel has a major impact on being able to get the Red Ryder elevation setting dialed in for a specific range but does suffer from not having a corresponding ability to adjust for windage. That might be something to add to the tomorrow file project list.
For now, I'll just keep shooting it and see if I can get the round count down.
Thanks for watching and keep on moddin'!
