Fruit Tree Orchard Planting at V.H. Lassen
Thanks to a generous donation from Umesh and Kavita Kulkarni from the Orchard Community Learning Center, V.H. Lassen was able to plant an orchard of 17 fruit trees on Wednesday, Feb. 10. Lassen staff and administration, governing board members Alexis Aguirre and Shelley Jackson and the Kulkarni planted a variety of citrus, pear, fig and date trees. The trees were donated by Umesh and Kavita as a celebration of their 25th wedding anniversary. This beautification project will bring together the community and aligns with the “healthy roots” initiatives at Lassen.
