Hip Hop - Exploring the Impresser with Alex Solano
In the third episode of his Impresser tutorial series Alex Solano shows us the compressor doing its magic in a hip hop mix. Modeled after one of the most flexible and versatile compressors ever made, Impresser is one of the latest additions to the Antelope Audio FPGA FX library.
With the drums and bass grouped, Alex Solano starts with the most important part of a hip hop mix - the low end. After just a few tweaks in the right direction the Impresser allows our host to get the kick rounder and punchier and that's pretty much the purpose of this exercise.
