I want to get into making 3D videos, but before that I need a rig capable of actually shooting 3D. This video is a bit of a ramble on that subject, covering which cameras and lenses I picked and why, as well as my opinions on 360 and 3D video in general.
I'm hoping that you might find this helpful if you're in the same boat. I'm no expert, though. So if you have any advice or input, please let me know in the comments!
BTW - I should note that YouTube does allow you to view a 3D video in 2D. However, it does that by stretching one of the "eyes" to full screen. Thereby giving it half the effective horizontal resolution. Which is why I'm putting out 2 versions.
