Backstory
Yakiv’s mother is a very nurturing, artistic woman who suffers from anxiety and MAJOR mood swings
At a young age, Yakiv’s parents argued often and were in a bad familial position
Yakiv’s mom was put in a very dependent situation with her husband after she quit her job and was placed into a psychiatric hospital for her mental condition
When she was released, she struggled to find a job and made little money giving piano lessons
She would often teach Yakiv piano (when he was around 3 years old.) He often listened to his mother play Chopin’s nocturnes
Yakiv’s mother and his father started getting into more arguments about his mother’s lack of responsibility
She would get angry often, escalating arguments into fights (sometimes physical)
Still, she would remain tender and loving to her son, who just wanted the fights to end
Eventually, they divorced. Yakiv’s father became his permanent parent due to Yakiv’s mother’s worse financial and mental state. (Yakiv was 4 or 5 years old)
Yakiv’s father finds a new girlfriend who wants to bring more out of Yakiv’s musical talent.
Yakiv’s father’s girlfriend, now wife, is a co-founder of a famous profitable program for cultivating musical ability
Yakiv’s stepmother starts enrolling him in piano classes, and with his fast progress, the process feels much more daunting than just learning from his mother
(This quickly progresses into him visiting international world-class musicians and winning international competitions)
Yakiv’s parents start promoting him on social media as a pianist, uploading recordings of his recitals and performances (YouTube: Yakiv Watanabe Classical)
By this point, Yakiv (around age 14) is well-known and has gained reputation through numerous piano and composition competitions
He (age 14?) started dating world-class prodigy violinist Genkei Suzuki (first to last name order,) who was around 2 years older than him
They ended up breaking up due to their competitive and distant relationship dynamic
When Yakiv got older (about 15 years old,) he found out his mother died from suicide (fueled from emotional) baggage. He vowed to himself to never “succumb to emotions” like she did and continued to overwork himself
As he gets older, he starts gaining fame for his compositions instead of his piano playing

Will probably start tearing up when he hears Nocturne Op. 9 No. 2 by Chopin Bc his birth mom played that a lot (execution potential??)
