The U.S. Olympic Committee is suing Prime Hydration
Since its inception the Logan Paul and KSI brand has been embroiled in various lawsuits. Ranging from alleged forever chemicals through to the US government claiming Prime Energy’s caffeine content was unsafe for children. But none have stuck.
Could the latest lawsuit U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee have more success? The suit claims Prime used symbols and phrases that were trademarked without permission. You will notice on this Prime label it features the words, “Olympic, Olympian, Team USA, and Going For Gold” All phrases exclusively owned and trademarked by the Olympic and Paralympic Committee.
It states, “The USOPC has an agreement with Coca-Cola that allows it exclusive use of OLYMPIC trademarks. Coca-Cola made a significant monetary contribution for such rights.” Prime was sent a cease and desist letter by the USOPC but it was ignored for a week as Prime continued to distribute their trademark infringed bottles. The attorneys for the Olympic Committee have called the company’s acts, “willful, deliberate, and in bad faith.”
