Why are there thousands of ducks in the river?
Every year, more than eighty thousand rubber ducks are dumped into the Chicago River. Anyone can adopt one for just a few dollars. The current carries them to the finish line, and whoever gets there first wins a prize. All the money goes to the Special Olympics athletes.
