PRAYER FOR THE CONSECRATION OF EASTER CAKES AND EGGS AT HOME ON GREAT SATURDAY
(if it is not possible to consecrate in the Church)
You light the candles, stand before the Faces of the Saints and begin to pray.
First, you address the Lord with your simple words, something like this:
“Our Lord! Our Savior, our Comforter! Our Beloved Jesus Christ! Tomorrow is Your Day, and today I have baked Easter cakes for You, painted eggs. Our Lord, through prayers I send You my love and gratitude. Accept from me my humble gifts, these prayers and Easter cakes that I have baked for You.”
Then you read “Our Father,” “Mother of God,” “Holy Spirit,”
as well as those prayers that you want to read.
Read it and turn to the Lord again. Something like this:
“Our Lord Jesus Christ! I ask You to cleanse and sanctify all my Easter cakes and eggs that are here. Send the Holy Spirit and Your Divine Blessing to them.”
